You’ll feel like you’ve been invited around by Greek friends when you go to Yots: Evan Papadonakis and his team will ply you with shucked-to-order Coffin Bay oysters, crisp little local calamari and fresh whole fish, always presented in a surprising way. There’s plenty of red meat in the form of lamb or succulent beef meatballs, and vegetarian dishes featuring eggplant and chickpeas, salads and sides. The home-style vibe continues through the desserts – perhaps Greek vanilla slice, baklava or traditional rice pudding – made in a spirit of friendly rivalry by Evan’s mum and mum-in-law. Sit inside in the cool, or outside next to the boardwalk overlooking the yachts.
