“I love The Carlyle. It’s cosy, intimate, and elegant. From the moment you arrive, the lighting, the tone of the doormen, the music… it’s all class, without even the slightest hint of pretence. When you travel for business, there’s nothing better than finding a place that feels like home. I love the decor of the rooms and the minibar treats (Gummi bears, Dylan’s Candy). The bar is super sexy and plays host to some of the best jazz acts in the world – last year, Eartha Kitt was playing the night I checked out. It’s old-world, but with Manhattan efficiency. Perfect.”
