Considering it was built more than 100 years ago, Wright’s first public commission was nothing short of revolutionary. Built of poured concrete (one of the first public buildings so constructed) and cubist from the exterior, the church exudes the powerful resonance of an ancient temple. It still draws gasps from visitors.
