Keen to explore Western Australia without leaving your hometown? Now you can, thanks to an immersive pop-up in Melbourne’s Federation Square.

From 13 February to 15 February, Melburnians can get a taste of the wonderfully wild west simply by stopping into WorkPlayce – a temporary space that combines the stunning scenery, culinary delights and unique experiences of Western Australia under one (easily accessible) roof.

Combining ‘work’ and ‘play’ spaces, WorkPlayce not only offers locals a new, exciting spot to send those very important emails with free wi-fi and convenient power ports, it also celebrates our largest state by offering guests complimentary Western Australian beer, wine and produce. Grazing plates pulled together by pop-up master Paul Iskov, fresh Exmouth prawns or Kimberley Barramundi, anyone?

On each of the three days, a specific region of Western Australia will also be thrust into the spotlight. From a virtual reality whale shark diving experience in the depths of Ningaloo Reef to photography tutorials and live pearl-harvesting demonstrations, visitors can immerse themselves in all that the state has to offer before booking a ticket. (The Dreamliner is also on display at WorkPlayce, with a model of the Business class suite on-site for curious jetsetters).

Like what you sample? You’re in luck. From 24 March, passengers travelling from Melbourne to London on the Dreamliner can extend their stay in Perth at no extra charge.

WorkPlayce is open to the public from 13-15 February 2018 at Federation Square (corner of Flinders and Swanston streets between the hours of 12pm and 8pm.
