Best bar for cocktails…
A tough one, but let’s settle for Wafu, the open-air rooftop bar and cafe above the Wakame restaurant in Mouille Point, where friends lounge on comfy sofas [in]the warm glow of sunset over the ocean and Robben Island. Bliss!

Samrat in Churchgate, which has fantastic Gujarati food. Howrah restaurant serves tasty Bengali food and is a good lunch stop after being overwhelmed by Crawford Market. Get your bib on for the chilli crab at the seafood restaurant Trishna, near the National Gallery of Modern Art in Colaba.

  • I am planning on going to Cairo next year and want to book into a good hotel with a view of the pyramids - any suggestions?
    Reply to Jill S.
    • I agree with the Mena House. Fantastic hotel with great service. The view of the pyramids is amazing even if you don't manage a pyramid view room. Just walk out into the gardens. The hallways in the hotel have fantastic pictures and the bar and restaurants are superb. I really enjoyed my stay there.
  • Book into The Mena House and ask for a room with a view of the Pyramids- You will probably have to pay a little extra. Enjoy the trip
