Marc and Eva Besen established Tarrawarra Estate in the early 1980s and planted only chardonnay and pinot noir. Commitment to the arts is evident in the architecture, landscaping and the Tarrawarra Museum of Art, a privately funded art gallery that began with the Besens’ private collection. The permanent collection and temporary exhibitions are always good viewing. The WineBar Cafe serves contemporary food. Two or three courses are compulsory on Sundays and there is a choice of à la carte during the week. Open daily.
