The homestead is the house that Henry Sebire built in the 1880s, and the garden includes an oak and camellia bush planted at the same time. Les Chesselles French restaurant is the perfect spot to enjoy a hearty breakfast (weekends only) or lunch. The property is a living museum. The house and much of its furnishings are original and the slab kitchen has been reconstructed on its original site. Volunteers staff the museum, some are descendants of early settlers in the area. Mont De Lancey hosts the farmers’ market on the second Saturday of the month. The Blacksmithing Group meets there every weekend and runs courses for those keen to wield hammer upon anvil. Open to visitors Wed-Sun.
