Kamata has become one of Kappabashi’s institutions, and is hard to miss with its giant knife sign on the facade of the building. Most of the knives here are handmade and if you are not already an expert, the staff will take the time to tell you the difference between knives used for sashimi and fugu – also vegetable knives, fish knives, soba knives, tuna knives, etc, etc.
Mon-Sat 10am-6pm.
