In the past, the pleasure of a stay in Tokyo was often leavened by stratospheric accommodation prices. No more. As Tokyo has become more of an international travel destination, foreign travellers are no longer restricted to a non-choice of international chains. A broader hotel range, offering such special features as women-specific rooms, means that stopping over in the Japanese capital has now become an even more attractive proposition.
