Known as one to watch on the Australian fashion circuit, the life of designer Sara Phillips involves regular inspirational and commercial trips to Paris. She gave us her insider secrets on where to dine, drink and stay while in the world's fashion capital.
My favourite café is…The Rose Bakery in Montmartre. It is delicious and healthy. I love finding new cafés every day, I think that is one of the best things about Paris. There are so many great places and it’s part of the experience to venture out and find new places to eat and drink.
The best place for authentic Parisienne fine dining is… Le Square Trousseau in the Bastille area. It is my pick for true Parisienne food. The atmosphere could not be more French and the food and wine are amazing as well.

There are so many places in Paris to shop. Some of my favourites are
L'Eclaireur, APC for French casualwear and the new
Surface to Air shop in the Marais is great for men and women. For a great lifestyle shop I go to
Merci in the Marais which is housed in an old fabric factory.
When I need a drink I go to…The Marais at night to have a nice drink at La Perle.
Where do you stay? I love renting an apartment in Paris, It’s the only way to feel like you really belong and to be able to buy amazing produce and bring it home and cook is one of the best things in the world. The last time I was there I stayed in Étienne Marcel - there were so many great places to eat and drink right at our doorstep.
