A bold step away from modern minimalism, the newly opened Haymarket Hotel is the seventh from renowned hoteliers Tim and Kit Kemp (on the heels of their phenomenally successful Soho Hotel). It is located in a landmark building of Regency-era London, designed by John Nash. The hotel facade features a dramatic row of columns that run the length of Suffolk Place. The interior is similarly epic. Rooms are a confident cross-fertilisation of English classicism and modernity: old English prints are rendered in monochrome, bathrooms are snow-white marble and public areas feature bleached wood floors and sofas liberally scattered with yellow cushions.
