Destination Guide - Brisbane
Things are hotting up in Brisbane and we’re not just talking about the weather. Once a small riverside city, it is now a hive of cultural, culinary and creative activity. The city is set on the Brisbane River and much of the action can be found along the river and in surrounding suburbs such as Fortitude Valley, where cafés and fashion boutiques are popping up everywhere.

The temperature averages 24°C during winter (June to August) and up to 35°C during summer (December to February).
Getting there and around
Brisbane has an efficient bus network. The CityTrain is a good option, or, if you’re not in a hurry, you might select a scenic journey by ferry along the Brisbane River.
