Crown Towers, Melbourne
Above and beyond the lure of the lucre, Crown Casino patrons enjoy a choice when it comes to bedding down: the glitz and glamour of Crown Towers (five stars) or the stylish affordability of Crown Promenade (four). Both tick most boxes, although Crown Towers offers a spa bath in every room and, with 10 extra storeys, more views of the river and city. The decision could come down to a spin of the wheel.

Fresh from a dramatic redevelopment and with technology playing a key role in the redesign, Crown Towers has more razzle-dazzle than ever. All 482 rooms and suites have been given the contemporary-luxe treatment, with white custom-designed linen, grass-weave wallpaper and spa-like bathrooms. New tech facilities include 42-inch plasmas, an LCD TV in the bathroom mirror, iHome, iPod docking station and IP touch telephone system. There are dedicated meeting rooms and boardrooms, as well as the Crystal Club lounge for smaller private meetings.
