Christian Gruber’s pasta shop began the James Street renaissance when it opened here seven years ago. You can see – and smell – the pasta and sauces being made in the kitchen behind the counter. Signature dish, says Gruber, is their cantonese duck ravioli, which he recommends you serve with an oriental stock with slow-cooked onion and garlic. Ready-made single serves to go, as well.
