With fans that include Bella Hadid and Lara Worthington, Holly Ryan’s eponymous jewellery label – established in 2011 – strikes the perfect balance between fashion-forward and wearable. Ryan, a Noosa native, grew up among the beaches and boutiques of the seaside idyll so who better to advise on finding your own “Noosa uniform”?

Best for high-end wear

“Visit Bowery475 for brands like Ellery and Celine. The store is really welcoming and has a great floor-to-ceiling glass front and a leather butterfly chair at the entry.”

Best for streetwear

Alterior Motif is my go-to for perfect everyday coastal wear. They sell the Noosa uniform – lots of cool denim and comfortable basics with a fashionable edge. You’ll find labels such as Matin, Nice Martin, Sir the Label and Georgia Alice. (It’s also the exclusive seller of Holly Ryan jewellery on the Sunshine Coast.) The store itself is bright and open with lots of natural light, the vibe is chilled and the staff are all super-friendly, too.”

Best for shoes and accessories

Toscani sells Alexander Wang bags and shoes, as well as my favourite watch brand, Larsson & Jennings. The classic all-white store is only a stone’s throw from Noosa’s main beach.”

Best for vintage

“Your best bet for vintage is to head out to the Eumundi market, held every Saturday and about a 20-minute drive from Hastings Street. The Eumundi market has been around for over 30 years and I think it’s one of the best artisan markets in Australia with artworks, sculptures, furniture and homewares, as well as fashion and jewellery.”

Best for homewares

Askew is my favourite store in Noosa for homewares. They sell contemporary and quirky lifestyle products like Tom Dixon home accessories. I love the high-polish metals in his designs and his use of contrasting textures and materials.”
