Spotting ospreys, kites, pelicans and wading herons are just a few of the highlights of a Noosa Everglades tour. Taking only 25 passengers, the cruise crosses Lake Cooroibah and Lake Cootharaba into an unspoiled wilderness of tannin-stained waters. If you’re feeling active, you can opt to paddle a 5km stretch of the mirror-like river in a kayak. However, those with less energy might prefer to simply kick back as the boat navigates up river to a barbecue lunch at Harry’s Hut. Named for local identity Harry Spring, the 1950s camping shack is now a protected cultural site. Bold goannas may join you for lunch before you head back to Noosa.
