As the beaches of Byron Bay swell with an increasing number of visitors, in-the-know travellers are heading south for a laid back lifestyle that’s a little less crowded.

Yamba, a coastal town about an hour and a half south of Byron, is rapidly gaining members to its own fan club and it’s not hard to see why.

Captain and the Gypsy Kid founder Sheree Commerford asked a local to spill the secrets of this picturesque small town. Here's why this up-and-coming coastal hotspot should be next on your list of stopovers.
