Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel is a Sydney dining institution and beachside retreat rolled into one. It’s situated on a little stretch of sand in quiet village surrounds about a 25-minute drive or ferry ride from the city. The gorgeous location is close to local shops and the start of some spectacular walking tracks around the rocky cliffs, beaches and bays. All 31 of the property’s guestrooms are glamorously styled with coastal interiors that will make you feel right at home. The bustling open kitchen flows out to a sprawling sun-drenched terrace, which oozes warm friendly vibes from the garden flamingos to the breezy beach umbrellas and picnic tables. Feast on fresh local seafood from the Italian-inspired menu, including dishes such as crab linguine or oven-roasted river trout. Finish it off with a show-stopping dessert –the Pina Colada Trifle and the Valrhona Chocolate Nemesis Cake are heaven. Those with energy to burn can set out along the Federation Cliff Walk to Bondi for postcard-perfect views of the coastline.
Ask for: A Grand Harbour Suite. The views of the shimmering water and city skyline are best enjoyed from the wraparound balcony. You’ll be blown away.
