Catch the ferry from Circular Quay to Watsons Bay, where blissful beaches and stunning views await. As Australia’s oldest fishing village, Watsons Bay continues to attract seafood lovers and is home to the iconic Doyles on the Beach (11 Marine Parade, +61 2 9337 2007). Take a stroll along The Gap cliff top, past the South Head Signal Station and Macquarie Lighthouse, or to nearby Camp Cove, a popular spot for snorkelling and diving. Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel (1 Military Road, +61 2 9337 5444) is one of Sydney’s best outdoor bars, ideal for a long, leisurely lunch or sunset cocktails and a few share plates.
The idyllic neighbourhood of Watsons Bay is best accessed via ferry from Circular Quay. Enjoy fresh seafood at one of its waterfront restaurants before taking a dip in the Watsons Bay Baths or nearby harbour beaches. High tea at Dunbar House should not be missed.
