This former BBC television theatre is a popular venue for rock music’s best-known acts. Featuring three levels of comfortably tatty seating, a sticky, standing-only ground floor and excellent sightlines throughout, the Empire is a favourite haunt of homesick expatriates (the likes of Australia’s Sneaky Sound System and Colombia’s Juanes sold out). Katy Perry, The Script and M Ward are all playing this month.
